Point of View: When we appreciate what we've already been given, God will want to give us more.

Action Step: Ask for God to fill you with His love.

Point of View: We are to live the victorious Christian life through faith. NAS 1 John 5:4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world-- our faith.
Action Step: We must study the promises in order to have faith.  NAS Romans 10:17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.

Point of View: We do not receive what we ask for because our motives are wrong.
Action Step: Ask God to purify your motives.
Benefit: You will ask and receive.

Key Point 1: Our motive in prayer must be only for our Father’s glory; it is not enough just to pray for a good thing.

Hal is a disciple of Jesus Christ who was married in 1981 to his wife Kathy and they have four sons and one daughter – Jonathan, David, Christabel, Seth, and Joseph. He believes, second to cultivating his relationship with God, that raising his family unto the Lord is the most significant task for him while on Earth.
